Every pool installation in South Florida requires a building permit. Understanding the process helps set realistic expectations for your project timeline.
What Is Required
Pool permits in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties require several documents: a signed and sealed site plan showing the pool location, structural engineering plans, electrical plans, and a barrier (fence/screen) plan. Some municipalities also require soil reports or specific HOA approvals before accepting a permit application.
Timelines by Area
Permit processing times vary significantly. Some municipalities offer expedited reviews that can be completed in 5 to 10 business days. Others may take 3 to 4 weeks or longer, depending on the current workload and the complexity of the project. We track every permit application and communicate the status to you regularly.
Inspections
During and after construction, multiple inspections are required: excavation, structural, plumbing, electrical, barrier, and final. We schedule and coordinate all inspections and are present for each one. Passing all inspections is required before the permit is closed and the pool can be used.
We Handle Everything
We manage the entire permitting process from application to final closure. You do not need to visit the building department, prepare documents, or schedule inspections. This is part of our service.
